An app on gray mold disease of castor in Telugu was developed by ICAR-Indian Institute of Oilseeds Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad for the benefit of castor growing farmers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The app provides general information on castor gray mold, disease symptoms, favourable weather conditions, control measures, proactive measures to be taken at various crop stages against castor gray mold apart from information on management of other pests and diseases. There is also an interactive expert advisory system provided which can be used by the farmers to know about the chances of disease occurrence and spread based on prevailing weather at particular point of time and measures to be taken to control the disease.
